Mimosas are a classic brunch drink that everyone loves, but have you ever considered taking them to the next level? Mimosa ice cubes are a fun and easy way to add some extra flair to your mimosas and impress your guests. Here’s how to make them:
Ingredients:
- Freshly squeezed juice of any kind (we used orange and grapefruit)
- Optional – fresh herbs (we used rosemary and mint)
- Optional – zested citrus, edible glitter, edible flowers, and more
Instructions:
- Start by pouring your freshly squeezed juice into an ice cube tray. You can use a regular tray or a silicone one, depending on your preference.
- Fill each section about 3/4 full to allow room for expansion as the cubes freeze.
- If you want to add a little extra flavor and zest, you can add fresh herbs, zested citrus, edible flowers, as well as other fun additions to each section of the tray before adding the orange juice.
- Place the tray in the freezer and freeze until solid, typically around 4-6 hours.
- Once the ice cubes are frozen, it’s time to make mimosas! Simply drop a few mimosa ice cubes into your glass and top with your favorite Carlos Creek Winery sparkling wine. The mimosa ice cubes will keep your drink cold while also infusing it with the delicious flavor.
- Sit back, sip, and enjoy!
Mimosa ice cubes are a great way to add some extra fun and creativity to your brunch gatherings or summer parties. They’re also versatile and can be used in other cocktails, such as Bellinis or Aperol Spritzes. Try experimenting with different fruits and juices to create your own unique ice cube creations. The possibilities are endless!
