We are excited to be hosting The Berserker Cup Strongman Competition this year. An outdoor, Nordic strongman competition with around 60 contestants competing to be crowned Strongman! Check out the website for more information, to register for the competition or to purchase a spectator ticket.
Competitions will be located in the east grass parking area of the Bold North Cellars grounds. Must have a ticket or purchase a ticket on-site to watch the competition. Beer and wine will be available for purchase during the competitions. Food trucks will also be available for food purchases.
COMPETITION CATEGORIES
Log Press: Athlete will clean and press away for as many reps as possible under a 60 second time limit. Weight will be determined per weight class. Women use a 10″ log and men use a 12″ Allowed: chalk, grip shirt, belts, knee and elbow sleeves and wrist wraps.
Death by Deadlift: Athlete will deadlift a standard barbell at standard height, starting at an agreed weight. Each rep there will be 20lbs added to the bar immediately after completion of rep until athlete fails at a certain weight. Max weight successfully lifted will be recorded and who lifts the maximum weight will win the event. Allowed: belts, regular straps, chalk. Not Allowed: any suits of any kind (i.e deadlift or squat). tacky or figure 8 straps.
3 Implement Loading Medley: Sandbag, atlas stone and loadable steel husafell will be lined up next to each other. Athlete will grab each implement and carry as fast as possible 25′ and load onto a barrel (Hussafell will be tossed onto crash pads.) Fastest time wins event. Allowed: belt, chalk and grip shirt.
Vehicle pull: All athletes will pull the same truck with harness for 50′ with lead rope. Allowed: gloves, chalk, knee and/or elbow sleeves, any shoe you prefer.
Atlas Stone Series: 3 stones will be lined up in front of barrels. Lighter one will be 12 feet away, second one 6 feet away and last one as close as you would like it. Athlete will load each stone onto each barrel. Fastest time wins. Time will be given even if not all stones are loaded. Allowed: Tacky, chalk, belts, grip shirt and tacky towel.
