2021 Stomp for a Cause

The countdown to Grape Stomp 2022 is officially on! We’ve got a little over 200 days until it’s time to revel in festival fun. In the meantime, let’s take it back to 2021 for a moment. Not only was the festival a blast, but we were able to raise $6,500 to support our community with the 2021 Stomp for a Cause.

Grape Stomp 2021

Our 2021 Grape Stomp was one for the books! Overall attendance was the second-highest of all time. It was awesome to see so many smiling faces after the previous year when we held the festival with limited capacity.

“We were beyond excited to have the festival in full swing again this year. It was so fun to see everyone out celebrating,” said Carlos Creek Winery Owner Michelle Bredeson.

Stomp for a Cause

Stomp for a Cause has been a Grape Stomp staple for five years. A fundraising effort for local organizations, a portion of the proceeds from admission ticket sales go to charity every year. It all began back in 2016 when the Bredeson family decided they wanted to find another way to give back.

“As Grape Stomp grew, we wanted to give back to the community that has been so supportive, so we began Stomp for a Cause. Each year we select a deserving group within surrounding communities and donate a portion of admission ticket proceeds to their cause,” Bredeson said.

It was originally called “Stomp for Paws” and supported animal rescue efforts. Past organizations that have received funds include Lakes Area Humane Society, Ruff Start Rescue, Second Hand Hounds, and “Let’s Go Fishing.”

In 2019 the name was changed to “Stomp for a Cause” to broaden support for other causes.

Due to the limited-capacity event in 2020, the Carlos Fire Department was designated as the charity of choice for both 2020 and 2021. One dollar from every Saturday Admission ticket sale went toward the cause; thanks to everyone who came out on September 18, a total of $6,500 was donated to the Carlos Fire Department.

“We love being a part of our community and look forward to continuing and expanding our community giving.” Bredeson said.
